"The Gardens at Abbeville"

November 20 – January 16

Atrium Gallery invites you to an upcoming exhibition of new work by Fredrick Nelson. "The Gardens of Abbeville," opening Friday November 20th, features an extensive body of recent paintings by this well regarded St. Louis artist. Nelson is known as an exceptional colorist, and this work moves forward with compositional arrangements that present the subtlety, grace, and resolution that evoke the impressions of lush gardens seen abstractly.

Nelson studied at Webster University, Kansas City Art Institute, and Washington University where he received his MFA. His work has been shown regionally and nationally for over 30 years and he is represented in numerous private and corporate collections, and also in several museum collections. Nelson is a dedicated studio artist and intellectual, whose evolving work persists to hold classic, elegant, and challenging qualities.

The exhibition opens Friday, November 20 with a reception for the artist from 6—8 p.m. It will run through January 16.
